What I Do
I work with fellow Times reporters to create audio stories about the world we live in. I also get to help dream up and create shows like “The Daily” and “Caliphate.”

How I Got to The Times
365体育滚球 I left my tiny town to go to a religious college and wound up getting very curious about what other people believed and why. Eventually that led to journalism, which led to making audio stories in my apartment, which led to a job at the public radio show “Radiolab,” which led to me getting a call a few years ago from Lisa Tobin, editor of audio, asking if I’d like to try and help her answer the question, “What should The New York Times sound like?”

Interesting Fact
365体育滚球 I’ve had dozens of jobs in my life, including being a dishwasher, a janitor, a roofer, a groundskeeper, a hot dog chief and once – a Kmart Santa Claus.

Most Important Business Lesson Learned
365体育滚球 You don’t want to get stuck being a Kmart Santa Claus for too long.

Favorite Movie
365体育滚球 “Jurassic Park”… or maybe “The Matrix”

Favorite Book
“The Autobiography of Malcolm X“ as told to Alex Haley
